Ruger Redhawk,
For production costs reasons (which translates into profits in a highly competitive business), QC in most firearms manufacturing companies has been relaxed considerably as compared to 50 years ago. With semi-auto pistols they put one round in the magazine, feed it into the...
Most large gun companies don't make their own magazines. They are contracted to makers that specialize in their manufacture. Ruger probably got a bad batch from a contractor and their QC didn't catch it.
If it was reliable (with me shooting it) and accurate I would personally keep it. That's all I expect from a handgun. But that's just me. Second, I NEVER shoot steel case ammo in anything other than a Makarov 9x18 and an AK in 7.62x39. In them it works fine. But with everything else steel...
I've just bought a LC9sPro. Waiting for it to be shipped to me. I've had a LC9 for 3 years now and really have no complaints, other than a longer than desired trigger pull. It's been super reliable and hits exactly where it's aimed. I have no intentions of selling it... but might trade it...

My desire is to get the groups down to 1" if possible. I have floated...
I have a 1978 ventage M77 rifle. The 8 scope ring screws are the slotted type for a screwdriver. They are worn to the point I would like to replace them. Are replacement screws available from sources other than Ruger?
Thank you.
