    Loading Cast Bullets

Again....."I clearly said I plan to".....I was just curious about others experiences. Sheesh.......what a bunch of snobs.......never mind.

    Loading Cast Bullets

Either I wasn't clear or you didn't read my entire post because as I stated...."I have already purchased all three types from two different bullet manufacturers". And to tell you the truth I have no intention of casting my own. I'm mainly interested in things like effects on velocity (which...

    Loading Cast Bullets

Morning all.....I'm getting ready for my try at reloading hard cast lead bullets. I've read a lot of opinions on lubing naked bullets with Alox or the like vs coated bullets vs bullets that are pre lubed by filling the bottom grove with some waxy looking product. To find out for myself I have...

    Dies?

Correct.....the CoAx works best with Forster locking rings which I happen to have a box full of. I also have a box full of Redding and RCBS rings I replaced with Forster's if anybody needs a few.

    Dies?

No problem.....Forster press doesn't require shell holders.

    Dies?

Agreed....He does make a lot of sense. I couldn't see the advantage of the Lee four die set when using a single stage press but people rave about them and since I have zero experience with Lee dies I thought I ask. Gotta keep an open mind ya know. Forster are my favorite dies but I've used...

    Dies?

    Got it...LOL

    Dies?

Good info guys..........keep it coming. So far I'm leaning towards the RCBS because I'm familiar with their quality and CS. PS....I'm only interested in the two sets of dies in my OP.

    Dies?

First.....I have plenty of experience with reloading rifles but very little with hand guns and Carbide dies. I usually just buy ammo for my hand guns but this new 44spec has me rethinking that. So which dies...RCBS 3 die or Lee 4 die....for a casual plinker shooting cast bullets using a single...

New Bisley Flat Top 44 special.

I was also kicking around the idea of the SS 4 5/8 Blackhawk 45LC 45ACP convertible (McKay Sagebrush raves about his and I value his opinion) but being a Bisley this beauty stole my heart. All of my my other holsters cover the trigger but the hunter model just seemed right for a single action...

New Bisley Flat Top 44 special.

It's snug as a bug in a rug. I have two other Bianchi holsters that have served me well but this is my favorite. I'd definitely buy another if I was looking for a Blackhawk or any other single action revolver holster. I signed up for one of Amazon's stupid credit cards (which I will cancel as...

New Bisley Flat Top 44 special.

Here ya go....tracking said she took the scenic rout from TX to ID via AK...ha Sorry for the fuzzy pic but my old camera's having a hard time focusing lately, (kinda like me).

New Bisley Flat Top 44 special.

Hey CJ......I'm just a plinker when it comes to handguns so I'll shoot milder loads through it. I ordered a 2 50's of 240gr HSM SWC's (850 fps) today.....that should be a good starting point for my needs. Our buddy GC from over yonder recommend that load and I trust his experience...

New Bisley Flat Top 44 special.

Since my birthday falls on Christmas day I usually splurge and buy myself something pretty for the occasion. This year I fell in love with the Lipsey Bisley Flat Tops so I found a good deal on GB and ordered one. It showed up yesterday and boy does it exceed my expectations. It shipped so...

    I have sinned.....

I have a 637 with the lock. It's never failed me but just the idea pizzes me off so I added the plug. It's super easy to install. FWIW......I bought a single six FS 22lr about 8 years ago for trapline dispatch and to my surprise when I went to add a spring kit I discovered the Ruger also had a...
