    Check this out...Ruger in Vietnam?

I remember seeing a Ruger Blackhawk on display in the PX at Port Hueneme, Ca in 1972.

What year did New Model Single Actions come out?

Ok, I might have misspoken - I have 4 Blackhawk Old Models with sight ears (not flattops) that are 3-screw actions. In my day, the change from flattop to sight "bumps" were referred to as "new models"

What year did New Model Single Actions come out?

Yes, for a while, they produced 3-screw actions in the New-Model frames. All 4 of mine date to the early 1970's time frame.

Low value of Six Series Revolvers

I just won this one on gunbroker! https://www.gunbroker.com/item/786348835 The Mrs. loves her stainless security six snubby that I received in a trade years ago for a blackhawk 3-screw flat-top (yeah, kicking myself for that one... LOL) Oh well, I have a truck gun now.

New to me beautiful 2 3/4" security six

Years ago I traded a fairly well-used 3-screw Blackhawk 357 for one of these 2 3/4" in stainless. My wife promptly tried it out & it became "Her" new gun. We still have it in the safe & she still lays claim to it.

    Extra cylinder

Ruger will not sell or fit a different cylinder than what came with the gun originally. Period. They can tell by the serial number what the original configuration was. That said, if you find one on ebay, gun broker, or someone here on the forum, be sure you know what you need. Do you have an...

looks like it has been polished at some time. no sharp edges - might be chrome plated, but I think only polished.

Do all recent .45ACP Vaqueros also accept .45LC Cylinders?

Luck of the draw. Most, if not all cylinders are fitted to the frame. With variations of 1 to 2 thousandths of an inch, a cylinder that has been fitted to another frame may or may not fit your frame. If you want to buy a second cylinder, look for one being sold and ask for distinct dimensions...

    22lr lcr defense?

I have an LCR 22mag that I carry when I need something lightweight (Physically challenged - no waist to speak of & anything heavy carry drags my pants down!) The only thing I'm not fond of is the trigger pull, which is only slightly better than my KelTec P-11. It is so heavy that my wife, who...

Question on hammers for OM Blackhawk with conversion

Contender, do you have a source for OM parts? Seems like OM parts are hard to find. Besides Brownells, do you have a suggestion? Thanks, John

Question on hammers for OM Blackhawk with conversion

I recently acquired an OM Blackhawk in .41 mag (circa 1971) that has the factory safety transfer bar installed. The hammer spur is just a bit too high for my liking & I would prefer to have a wide SBH or Mondato-style hammer. Since it has the conversion already & I do not have any of the...

    sure love my borescope...

Check on epay for borescopes. I purchased one that plugs into the usb port on my computer - now they have ones that plug into cell phones. And, they are cheap! I paid $16 for mine, albeit a low-end model, but higher-end ones are still quite reasonable.
