    Ruger 44 magnum carbine….early model.

I have one here which does not have the button to unload the magazine. Is that something that can be retrofitted? I suspect not but thought I would ask. Dave

Bob C's list of OM .357's.

Ale8…I don’t think it shipped as 4 5/8”. I believe it was one of those which was held back and shipped much later than it’s serial number might indicate. I tried everything to track it down. Dave

Gramps, you are correct. Mine is 6 1/2" and I thought all of that era were but I am usually wrong.

    Flat top 44 magnum S/N 8299

I agree Gramps on the cost of using the service to prepare the paperwork and to ship it. But......let me tell a story....I had two NIB very early Bearcats...one was built in the first week of production. Both were 98% condition. I was not allowed to ship them to the USA....rules on your side...

    Flat top 44 magnum S/N 8299

I just need to ask. It is in 98% condition. 1958 manufacture date. I am in Canada. Our market here is almost non existent due to our rules and regs. So, I am looking at selling it back to someone in the USA through one of the sites which arranges cross border shipping. Can I please get...

    357 FT ser # 5413 question . . . photos added

Chet, front sight does not have wavy serrations and the barrel is eight grooves. I did inquire with Ruger again. They have such wonderful people working in their customer service. Here is the reply I received. Ruger are shut down until the end of January so I will hear more then. The...

    357 FT ser # 5413 question . . . photos added

I have one very close in serial number to yours. Mine has a 6 1/2" barrel. Everyone tells me that they did not come in that barrel length that early in production! But, a long time ago someone from Ruger told me that a few had been fitted with the 6 1/2" barrels. I attempted to get a...

    Single Six Boxes

Thanks for the help. The interesting and challenging part will be deciding where to price them according to condition. I am guessing the market will tell me that. So, onward and upward. David

    Single Six Boxes

I have these boxes and am not really sure of their values. Checking an old Rene price guide I see the SC6 at $85.00. The other box has no catalogue numbers on the end and appears to be dated 1959. The price guide shows $180.00. Am I correct? I do realize that these prices are for boxes in...

Nice Bear Cat sold Sunday night

I see this post and read and just shake my head. Living in Canada can be the pitts sometimes. I have a four digit and a five and both are prohibited status here. Both are early and in 98% condition in boxes with paperwork. I have them for sale right now at $300.00 dollars which is about...

Why does Ruger do these things? These are from an old three screw model so it would not be an easy go. I thank you Jim.
