    What animal made this noise?

No idea, but I don't think I'd go outside to have a look. We have a neighbor at our campground who has a deaf Boston terrier. That poor thing barks like a child screaming. I even warned new campers so they wouldn't think someone was being murdered.

    The Boneyard at Davis-Monthan AFB

Thanks for that. I was not aware of the XC-99.

King Charles' new royal portrait . . . Oh my God.

Reminds me of Biden's "Soul of the Nation Speech, 2022.

For Sale Leatherman and Gerber Multitools ** Bundled to move **

I have Leatherman's, but this Gerber was my favorite. Lost it some years ago. Never saw another with the square pliers grip.

    Book Recommendations

The Most Dangerous Game was my first also book. I've never forgotten it. I just watched the original movie again a few months ago, starring a young Joel McCrea and Fay Wray, 1932. The biggest book I tackled was Atlas Shrugged. Very prophetic in today's times.

    Shotguning

I've shot clays a couple of times with my buddy. Mostly with my Gold Label, once with my 20 Ga. Red Label. Not very good, but sometimes surprised myself. I guess that's why they call it golf with shotguns. I also Shot two Tower Shoots for Pheasant with the Gold and Red Label. Those were fun...

    Flying in the "Old Days"

Bob Wright's post about flying with a .22 revolver as passenger reminded me of a memorable business trip. In the early 80's I was working for Michigan Bell and had to attend a meeting at Ohio Bell in Cleveland. As usual, I ignored the company travel and routed my own flight plan. I booked from...

    Hot Sauce Enthusiasts

I'm not into Habanero or other super hotties. My go to is Franks Red Hot. I also like Crystal Pure Louisiana Hot Sauce since I read that Dickie Brennan preferred it in his NOLA restaurants. Good enough for me. It's a little thinner than Franks but equally tasty.

    Ketchup poll

Bologna, Ketchup and butter on Wonder bread. Instant flashback to 10 years old. The best!

    Ketchup poll

I just read something from Hellman's Mayo that said it should be refrigerated, except for the smaller squeeze-bottle that can be left out, as on restaurant tables. Ketchup and mustard don't need refrigeration.

    A Pretty good Duke Movie

While filming Boy on a Dolphin (1957), Sophia Loren was required to walk in a trench in order to give audiences the impression that her diminutive co-star, Alan Ladd, was taller than she was. Another scene had Ladd standing on a box. Sophia was 5'8", Ladd was 5'4".

    How old are we

You've really been through it. I've done the same with stents and heart valve. At least our hearts should be in pretty good shape for the duration.
