Very cool but I'm curious about the Big Horn Colt. I can't imagine a firearm left behind by the tribes after the battle. It would surely have be taken. Maybe taken back or sold back at a later date?

Just was able to read "the rest of the story". I've always read or heard there were no American troop survivors of the actual battle. Sounds like someone's getting a little slippery with wording.

Just did a search on the soldier, on the fateful day, he was with Major Reno's forces and not Custers.
