Your favorite razor.

I use a 50+ year old Gilette safety razor and am always trying different brands of blades. I used to get them from an online outfit called tryablade.com where you could buy double edge blades priced per ea h blade, made it easy to try a variety of blades from all over the world, and they had dozens of different types - but they have apparently gone south. Right now I'm on a 100 pack of Derbys. I think they cost about $10 ordered online and will last me well over a year. I change blades about once a week or a little more often as needed.

I use whatever my wife brings home "on sale"........... same goes for shaving creams/soaps.

I've discussed here, shaving is difficult for me. My beard is not extremely thick, but each little hair is like scotch broom. There is nothing I can do to comfortably shave, however I have tried so many products of so many brands.
@sfhogman at one time graciously gifted me a couple double-edged razors with all the accessories. As nice as they were, they were just not aggressive enough so I passed them on to someone that wanted them. I still use the brush and shaving mug Jeff sent me.
I continue to experiment with different razors, and although some work better, none work well. The best has been some Gillette products, but I just cannot buy their woke merchandise, so I buy mostly Schick or BIC. I've tried Harry's and Shave Club. They are expensive, without the performance to make them worth the extra cost.
My shaving razor drawer is full of all the experiments I have tried. Now I just grab something from that drawer, always hoping this time will be different. It never is.

A short stubby Gilette with an adjustable head that was Dad's from the early 60s and a Shick single blade that was mine from the early 70s. I have several others but those two are my go to. I buy the assortment of blades from Amazon because I haven't found one yet that I will stay with. I have discovered I don't like Russian blades.

My father gave me his fathers razor along with a mug soap and brush when I was 5.

I used to lather up and scrape the soap off. It didn't have blades. When I needed them I bought blades and it is all I have ever used.

Turns out it is a WW2 military Gillette safety razor.

I also have my Mother's Grandfathers straight razor from WW1.

I guess the OP is not interested in Wendy's opinion...for underarms...

Over the years, I have used Sunbeam, Braun, Remington, Panasonic, Norelco. Then for some reason, I got into the habit of using, first electric followed by a Gillette single, double, triple, blades, etc. When I retired just had a 5 o'clock shadow. I hate shaving, so I let my beard grow out now and my niece called me Santa Claus, so I told her I was going to remove her name from my will. Yeah, she stopped. So, I let it grow out and every two months shave it all off.

I am 70 years old never used a electric shaver always foam and a blade recently I changed to a harry system bad mistake I will finish with what I blades I have left and go back to good old reliable Gillette nothing better in my books

Why shave? With rare exceptions a beard is one area women cannot encroach upon.

You have actually given me a good idea. I buy good quality disposable razors and can never be certain how many shaves I have used one for. So, I'm gonna pick a day of the week, we will say Monday, and use a new razor on that day.
In my opening post I mentioned always having a fetish for razors and having to try every new one. At one time I was using Shick two bladed razors and you could order a fancy stainless steel razor to use Shick 2 blade cartridges. I still have that razor but their cartridges will no longer fit it. So it remains in my collection. 😊

I use whatever 2 or 3 blade disposable is cheapest. But always gel or better yet shaving soap and a brush. Cheap foam just isn't as slick as soap or gel .
