[EDIT: For those who are seeking for one, here's my recipe]]

Ingredients:

1 lb beef or venison, ground or shredded ......... 1 lb ground pork ..... 1 can Red Kidney Beans .......
1 can Pinto Beans ..... 1 Bell Pepper, seeded & diced ...... 3 Jalapeno's, seeded & diced .....
1 lg/sweet onion, diced .......... 1 can beer (any kind)........ 4 Cups Beef Broth ...... 1 lg Carrot, fine dice ........
1 Celery stalk, fine dice ... 2 Bay Leaves ..... 4 Tbsp Chili powder ....1 Tbsp Oregano ... 1 Tsp Salt ......
2 Tsp Black Pepper, 1/2 Tsp dry Red Pepper flakes ...... 1 can whole peeled tomatoes, drained & halved
1 Tbsp Corn Starch .... Cooking oil as req'd

On stovetop:

* Brown meat in chili pot, in small batches, remove & reserve.
* Add diced carrot, onion, celery & Jalapeno's to chili pot & cook until soft.
* Return meat to cooking pot & stir in diced Bell Pepper, Beef Broth & Beer
* Stir in all seasoning: Chili Powder, Oregano, Salt/Pepper, Red Pepper flakes, & Bay Leaves
* Drain beans & stir into pot
* Add halved whole peeled tomatoes to pot (optional)
* Bring chili to a boil, thicken if desired, then reduce heat to simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

To thicken chili: remove 1 Cup of liquid from chili pot & stir in 1 Tbsp Corn Starch, then stir resulting roux into chili.

Weird weather here in Wasilla, Alaska this week... it was 43F yesterday afternoon and 39F this morning. However it's supposed to get cold this weekend.

Space htr helping here.

It snowed here this last night/this morning. I've been home all day bored. Work was called off. Probably be out tomorrow because it isn't going to get above freezing today. People up North make fun of the way everything stops here when it snows but it happens so seldom here they don't invest in the equipment to deal with it so the roads are fried. Even if you can drive in it & do okay you're better off staying off the roads because of those that can't. Supposed to thaw tomorrow though. If I'm home tomorrow & it thaws I'm going to try to go shoot.

When I was @ Ft.Bragg/Pope AFB in February 1966, about 1" of snow fell/stuck to pavement.

Vehicles everywhere were off the road.

Myself and another Northerner (serviceman) were the only folks that showed up for work for 2-1/2 days.

I didn't laugh at them - I just felt sorry for their situations.

Looks good pete44ru!

How much heat do you make yours with? I like to turn it up to burn your lips off hot.

While our snow was a mild one, (4"-5"),, it was enough to make Miss Penny stay home. And,, of course,, she has a "thing" about such days. She's not a fan of chili,,, but stews & soups,,, yep!
Her venison stew today.

Definitely Chile weather!
Mama made a big batch Sunday. Still living on it.
The only thing between Copperas Cove, Texas and the north pole is a
barbed wire fence in Amarillo, and it is down!

I made chili(?) last week on one of those "never reached zero" days. Last bowl is lunch today. I tried some different beans which didn't turn out as I'd hoped so I kept adding ingredients to mask/change/improve the flavor. Ended up with 2 gallons of mediocre beans and meat but I was the only one who had to tolerate it so no harm/no foul.

Thanks - I like my food very spicy, but not "hot", as IMO the heat/fire detracts from the flavor/taste.

BTW, I added my chili recipe to my OP here.
