Hi everyone,

I've got a Charles Daly O/U, manufactured by Miroku, with 26" barrels (Improved over Modified, fixed chokes). This is one of the earlier Field Grade models, so manufacturing date is probably between '63-'69. Bluing is 98%, and wood is 95%, with a few small scratches from use. Has auto-selective ejectors and an auto-safety. A recoil pad has been added to the butt.

The engraving is quite nice on this one, and is on par with the later Superior-Grade guns.

This is an excellent bird gun, and I've killed more than a few pheasants with it, but I have more than a few of these.

Photos are available upon request, as they are fairly large to show all details. Please contact me via e-mail for photos and to discuss a deal.

Asking $645, shipping/insurance included. FTF price will be discounted the cost of shipping.

I can't believe somebody ain't snatched this one up yet. It's a Winchester 101 with the makers name on it instead of Winchesters.
+1

Where are you in WI. I'm 30 miles north of Madison. Interested in any trades? Very interested for son's 16th Bday.

Respectfully,

Rick

I thought they were more like Brownings?

Yes that! i think SKB made some of the winchesters but dont hold me to that.
but Miroku made the Citori when Browning went to Japan and stopped making the Super Imposed

BC Miroku made Daly shotguns roughly 1963 to 1976 when they abruptly discontinued that partnership and made a deal with Browning and they continue to make the Citori, Cynergy, BLR Lightweight, BLR Lightweight '81, A-Bolt II, X-Bolt, BT-99, BL-22 Rifle, Auto-22 Rifle, T-Bolt, BPS (all), and Gold 10 ga. We carried Daly's when I worked in sporting good in the 60's and 70's. The Citori eventually replaced the Superposed. They also made the Browning Auto 5 starting in 1976. Winchester 101's made in Japan were manufactured by Olin Kodensha. There is a lot of confusion regarding 101's and Daly's but they are completely different shotguns. I believe 101's are now made by FN in Belgium and assembled in Portugal. Miroku has made firearms for Winchester (US Repeating Arms) the mostly limited reissues of some of the 19th century lever actions 1895, 1892 etc, Model 42's and Maybe Model 12's?? and a few others. Miroku marketed their firearms as well but a very limited market in US as I recall. SKB made Ithaca and Weatherby and their own line.
That is a very nice example of a Daly Field grade and I can't believe it hasn't sold. Miroke wasn't really good at serialization and keeping records but from the engraving I'd say it's somewhere in the middle.
