WTB: FACTORY Old Army Nipple Wrench

Help Support Ruger Forum:

OK Just trying to help here. I have a couple of ROAs and I never use the NW. I never turn the screw that locks in the base pin. No need to it is captured at the barrel. To take out the nipples use a good quality nut driver.
Now if you do not agree to this or try it. I will sent you a wrench.
Jim
Well I see you are in OK. So now I will have to go find the Pony Express Guy if you need one :D In Texas we have mail to the front door :D :D :D

I appreciate the help. I use a 3/16" Craftsman nut driver (less than $6 new) for the nipples and a penny for the base pin screw. Still, I didn't get a nipple wrench with my new-to-me Old Army (though I think I have an extra in my gear from my previous Old Army) and that was the basis for my query. Another member here has also graciously offered one and I'll add it to my gun.

It didn't dawn on me that most guys load the cylinder in the gun so you need the wrench/penny to lock in the base pin. I load mine out of the gun so it never gets locked in.
If you need a wrench just let me know.
