Let me first say that I am pleased with this gun since taking possession in early April. Also, the prvi partizan ammo shoots very well out of this gun. So good that I have set it as a standard for my handloads to beat. I have used Speer, Nosler, and Hornady bullets. Powders: R-15, IMR 3031, IMR 4895, IMR 4320, WIN 748, IMR 4064, WIN 760. My goal was to have groups under 1"@100yds. using loads that are on the hot side for hunting. This goal although not unattainable is difficult so far.
Best results thus far:
Speer 270 grn. Imr 4895 1.5" @100 5 shots
Nosler 250 grn Accubond IMR 4320 1.2" @ 100yrds 5 shots
Hornady 286 grn IMR 4064 .923" @100 yds
Factory prvi partizan 285 grn 1.1" @100 yds
I have not yet used a chronograph in these load developments, charges are at max or slightly higher than are listed in Hornady, Nosler, IMR data. I did not run into any signs of excessive pressures. Hornady brass seems a little thick. I have 1x4 Nikon Monarch African scope mounted. For a big game gun I am pleased with accuracy.

I have a CZ550FS in the same caliber and I guess I got lucky because my first load will put all 3 shots touching at 100. On the second firing, only sizing the neck, I was able to get a few groups that looked like oblong holes.

I'll check my load tonight, but I do know it was either 4831SC or 4895 and the 270 Speer with CCI LRM primers. I always start 1 grain below book max with whatever powder has the highest loading density, so it was probably 4831SC.

It is a great caliber and I am glad Ruger offers it. I was looking at CZ 22's in my dealers Accusport catalog and saw the FS. I have a soft spot for them. When I saw I could get reloading componets for 9.3x62, I ordered it and the componets and dies that day! Never had heard of that caliber before that.

I didn't know the 9.3X62 was being chambered by Ruger, at first thought there was a X74R typo. Good stuff, I was thinking about the CZ the other day.

It's got an interesting history Tek.
