I have remained quiet on her cancer after her diagnosis of Pancreatic cancer last December. Dr's said it was treatable and she had 3 treatments each a month apart. Along the way she was hospitalized 3 times due to Gallbladder problems and a stent was put into her bile duct. She was weak and sick most of the time, but we remained hopeful as the Jan, Feb and March treatments showed it was working. The April injection was held off til May due to more testing. Before the last test, I needed to take her to the ER. May 1st, she was given weeks to a month to live. The cancer changed and spread to her liver. I brought her home on May 3rd and into home Hospice care. She passed away on May 15th. My wife was just 63. We were married for 22 years and together for 27 years. Cancer sucks!
Shout out to a friend and forum member Bear Pa Jack, your prayers, thoughts and support was welcome.

kmoore: My prayers are headed your direction for as long as you need them. I truly wish I could say or do something, that would take away some of your pain. That you are experiencing right now.

I'm so sorry to hear. It reminded me that I lost my best buddy, 20 years ago from the same cancer. He was diagnosed 3 days before Christmas, and died 3 days after Christmas. A day doesn't go by that I don't think about and all the great times we had.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. Words just can't express the sadness I feel. I'm sorry.

I am so sorry for your loss. I share your Grief as my wife also passed from cancer in 2017. The grief will always remain, but remember the good times and treasure them. You may also want to check out griefshare.org. It has certainly helped on this journey.

I don't check this forum very often but decided to spend some time here tonight. I can identify with your loss since your original post mirrors my situation exactly.

My wife of 56 years was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer the week before Christmas 2022. She didn't tolerate chemo well and finally passed away on March 9th, 2023. The only comfort I can take is that she is no longer in pain. She was less than a month from her 80th birthday. We had a good life together and I miss her. I'm sure your 22 years of marriage meant as much to you as our 56 years to me. Treasure the memories.

Thank You, everyone that commented. Your kind words help me get through another day. In the past I likely shared many of your past comments on your posts to my wife. Most were funny, some were very interesting. It just proves to me that this site has a wide range of people from different walks of life. Ideas from all over the USA, but we still have a lot in common.
