This is in the same vane as those of us that were confused by the thread here about a 'site building'

Got an email from a customer today that had the long convoluted attachment disclaimer from their business under what she had written.. and I glanced at it and the first part said:

"NOTICE: Never trust wiring instructions sent via email. "

and I'm thinking what kind of wiring... home, industrial, automotive..... some high tech electrical stuff they produce or what... ? finally I realized that she works for some kind of collection company and it is talking about sending money electronically.....

How many of you did I get to think the same thing by the title of this thread?

Black wire is hot, white wire is common, green (or naked) wire is ground. Break the black wire for putting in a switch. Not really much there to get confused over.

On the other hand, I've never caught on to just how it is that a tangible object can be sent over a skinny little wire, so I don't trust it. Nope, not for me...I just keep on putting money in an envelope and mailing it off to where it needs to go the same as I've always done...

But that's just me, I've never been one to tamper with success.

Here at work with my avionics cap on, money transfers did not occur to me. As for color, most wire for me is one solid color. I'm breaking out the schematic and reading the labels and connector locations.

I thought it was about financing, concerning wiring instruction.
Be VERY CAREFUL about wiring money to any institution. Hackers can sit outside a business (or home) gather the exact information needed. I heard it used a system they've nicknamed "Pineapple". They'll send you an email that appears to be correct & has all of the correct information, EXCEPT where you'll be sending the funds. That will be their hack info.
ALWAYS call the institution (bank, title company, attorney) that will be receiving funds for the exact routing number & pertinent information.
