A friend asked for help in selling his 348 Winchester Delux M 71. According to the Winchester book the year of manufacture is 1950. Would call this a 96/97% rifle. The sling is not marked Winchester. The receiver sight is the Lyman M 56 that is period correct. Please study the photos, they tell the story. There is a half box of ammo that is included. Please follow the Forum rules……………………………………….$3300.00 Shipped FFL TO FFL from the owners to the sellers FFL dealer

For those not aware of this, Winchester from the beginning offered the option of a Lyman 56 receiver sight and did I believe, made D&T standard in the late 1940's.

That rear sight is definitely factory original equipment. The later 71's didn't have the sight mounted on the bolt. My 71 Deluxe has the Lyman sight as well as a folding barrel rear sight. It was purchased by my Dad in 1952 when the Air Force sent him from Korea to Northern Maine. Unfortunately he had a recoil pad added which makes it more tolerable to shoot but does nothing for collector value. The side mounted receiver sight makes the perfect position to add a Turnbull mount and a Burris Fastfire red dot.
