Will it hurt the magazine springs in the LCP if they are left fully loaded all the time?

Thanks

I'm not a metalurgist so I have no scientific evidence, but having seen this question addressed at various times, my take is ... no it will not .. at least not for quite some time. It has been said that it is the loading and unloading of the spring that causes stress in the spring, not the retention of the spring in one condition or the other...

If the spring is properly made -- and these days it's not at all hard to get good springs -- no magazine will be harmed by being left loaded. In a normal spring, it is repeated compression/decompression CYCLES that eventually wear out the spring, not just being compressed or extended.
