Why one should have two of the same pistol

You need a cup pin punch to take out the firing pin retaining pin and you should research the process. Wise to have a spare pin on hand. Spare parts for 239 are no longer available from Sig. These folks seem to stock the most.

I was thinking a pin punch with a concave end would work better but did not know they made such... so where do you get those?
Edit: I tried to find one like I've described and it seems all I can find is either flat punches or ones with a rounded end which is the exact opposite of what I was describing... the frustrating part is not only the descriptions are inadequate but the pictures at least on Amazon you can't tell from flat or concave.... at least for me.

txramfan, I clicked ont the link you posted and it is for a Ruger belt? I'll do the search on Amazon again using the term you wrote and see.
I do have to say I worked my way to my last Sig P239, the one near the front door, and it has one of the solid pins and this one I tapped on and it came out just fine... then of course I was not paying attention and had to crawl around on the floor of my shop to find the spring for the safety..... But I did find it...

thanks, I think that's what I'm looking for even though on several of the solid pins I've had no trouble... I also have to admit I found another Sig P239 I needed to clean the firing pin channel and ejector on.... they just seem to keep showing up....

Of course I just discovered the Sig Legion P226 slides are different... pins are totally placed in different places and orientation that what I've been dealing with....new learning curve....
