I agree with Boxhead. Narrow on top, palm swell and narrow flat on the bottom. For me this gives an no shift indesx on Blackhawk sized gripframes.
If I have changed out to hunter or modified [rounded trigger guards] I use flat/tapered stocks. Palm swells are great. I like the thinner profile though I have large hands and long fingers.
What is important is the shooter find a stock or panel that provides an index without shifting the shooters grip.
That is why after I purchase a revolver I scout out a new set of stocks. Calthrop
