I may be crazy but I like the rubber grips. I have pachmayr grips on all my single actions. I use the presentation grip that way they all feel the same in my hand. I have 9 different ruger single actions that I shoot so I wanted a universal feeling grip for all of them. In my mind this made sense to go with the rubber I even removed wood on several of them and put the rubber in it's place to get the same feel to all of them. I have a redhawk that came with the hogue grips it feels a little thin but shoots good so I left the grips on it.
