For all the complaining about the pharmaceutical manufacturers, how many are here because of the drugs they produce? Not just the maintenance type drugs for things like high blood pressure or other heart disease. But, also those used before, during and after life sustaining emergency medical treatment/ surgery.
I'd bet pretty much every one here has at some point needed that sort of treatment.
Oh, and before you gripe about the cost of medications consider this. It takes millions of dollars to bring a single drug onto the market. And during this time many millions more are invested in drugs that don't pass FDA approval (I won't get into that). All this has to be recovered before they make a profit
But, the government give the drug developers a very short time before other drug companies can begin selling "generics".
But if you all feel that the pharmaceutical industry is so bad, just quit using their Maintenance drugs or tell the doctors you don't want antibiotics next time you get an infection. We've got way too many people on this rock, so you'll be helping reduce overpopulation and pollution.
In our 60's my wife and I are not on any pharmaceuticals. We see naturopaths instead of a GPs. Take a look at what BigPharma and .gov did concerning ivermectin during the covid fiasco. No money to be made with ivermectin but lives could have been save.
For heart disease there is beef heart or bison heart. For HBP there are many safe things you can take. Of course diet, no grains or fried foods, and exercise will solve so many issues.
Emergency/surgery is not the same as taking an expensive pill that treats symptoms and has side-effects worse than the condition being treated.
FYI my wife worked in Pharma Research for 23 years before they fired her for refusing the shot.
