when was my ruger m77 made?

can anyone tell me how to figure out when my gun was made? the first 2 digits of the serial number are 79... is that that year of manufacture?

thanks! turns out it was made in 1985... amazing condition for a 25 year old rifle... still holds sub MOA.... that's really surprising in a gun form that time.

is that standard in the original m77 ultralight, or do they tend to be less accurate than that?
