What's the difference

Can someone please tell me what the difference is between the model 6973 and the model 26973 besides the number 2 and the price?

They are both Ruger American 6.5 Creedmore rifles.

6973 has the original style rotary mag and 26973 has the new single stack AI style mag and AK style mag release.
