ok - whats up with the non interchangable parts? i get that the barrel is shorter as is the grip, but essentially it should just be a "sawed off" version of the 9er. I havnt had the fun of tearing a 'c' apart, but i know it had a double spring, different breakdown pin, and a different trigger and grip backstrap.
basically: what differences are 'improvements' and what are necessity for a smaller pistol?

I guess i just dont understand your question :?:
I have both the SR9 & the SR9C-
Both have the same use-one for me & one for my wife -
When we're "out" the SR9C is with one of us 8)

well , what needs to be different from the SR9 to accomidate a smaller platform ( double spring) .. i guess the biggest part is: whats different on the trigger?

Smaller slide and shorter barrel means less mass. Shorter barrel also means less velocity. Timing of the two guns will be different, hence the new double spring recoil assembly.

nice - makes good sense.
now this post arises from my desire to put in a new trigger, even though i dont mind the trigger. i felt some smith and wesson triggers and id prefer that.
i saw some posts and i was wanting to put the 'C' trigger in but im leaning to the drop in.
