Have a look a this link, about halfway down the page, the 475 Linebaugh picture that Zeus posted. Thats exactly what im wanting but in 480. What would that cost. I know I know ask Alan, but its always good to get some insight from other shooters as well.

Ohhhh give Alan a call, what you seek is called the "Sixshot Meat Hammer" ,,, it's really a 5 shot, owned by Mr. Sixshot ....

I've heard you should have around 20 Benjamins and your Donor Gun.

I want one too, and there is a rumor that a Distributor and Ruger have talked about it. We could only hope. Ruger never thought that .44 specials would sell, currently a catalog item. I would say that 1000 "Meat Hammers" would sell out within 60 days of creation.

Awesome thanks for the links G2...looking at these guns makes my bank account quiver in terror! I have to agree a factory SA 480 would fly out the door...bout time Ruger considered this (if the rumours are true)!!

Hmmm 2 grand, plus the gun. Its almost a straight toss up between that and a Freedom Arms 83. Wonder if there is anything between them in terms of durability, accuracy etc??

FA or Harton gun, ummm! I love my FA 83 but other than the Harton done bisley hammer, it looks pretty much like any other FA. When Alan does a full blown custom, it turns out to be "yours" and it can be as unique as you want. Alan's work is as nice as the FA but you just get more options from Alan as to barrel style, length, finish etc.

Can anyone post Alan's contact details? Thanks. Man this is getting serious...Im thinking a matched pair .44 Mag and 480.
