I have a Blackhawk in .41 mag that I am pretty fond of. Local shop recently took in a Marlin 1894 lever gun with Octagon barrel in .41.

I didn't really find anything on Gun Broker to compare it, what is "Street Price" for the rifle, good to very good condition. For some reason I am thinking it would be fun to have the pair.

Thanx
Kevin

Could be a lot of regional variation, but "good to very good" would be $275 - $325 around here. "Excellent to LNIB" would be $400+.

I'm not sure, but I think the octagon barrel 41's were a limited edition through Davidson's. I looked at them when they first came out and they were $600 plus new. I think maybe only 500 or so made 6-7 yrs ago.

I believe those 1894's in .41 and with the octagon bbls were indeed a Davidson's model. I'm thinking $500+ also. I have the 1894FG in .41 mag and it's a great shooter. If the $ there, buy it. :)

In my area I would have to say $500 - $600 in 90%. Cowboy rifles fly off the shelf at local dealers.

I'd say between $5-600 easy for a .41, they're pretty hard to come by. I've got the octagon .32H&R and love it.

you didnt bring it home then and there?

He's right you know. You must have one revolver and lever gun in the same caliber. Most the time you need two or more.

Not a lot of .41 mags up here but the few 1894's I have seen run $450- $550.

The .357s are really few and far between. Cowboy shooters diving on any they see. I lucked out adn got mine a few years ago for $175 in a pawn shop that hadnt heard of CAS :D

I would match that .41 mag. Blackhawk with the .41 mag. 1894 now. That sounds like a winning combo to me. With no .41 mag. Marlin 1894,s being cataloged now (1894 FG made from 2003-2007), also this gun with a octagon barrel another rifle in .41 may be very hard to find. I never met a . 41 mag. owner who did not like it. Marlin lever guns are tough to beat in my book. I own a few and blast them just about every weekend. I would agree about the $500 to $600 range.

You guys better be right!! :)

Stopped at lunch time, marked used but I am not sure it was ever fired. Have to do the lay away thing so will be a few weeks before it comes home.

Serial # less than 1000 with CCL prefix if that means anything to anyone.

That is a Cowboy LImited...I sold one, NIB for close to $900 a couple of years ago. Those are quite scarce and highly sought after.

If it were me, and I was looking for one, I wouldn't hesitate to pay $700-$750 for it. That is a VERY scare gun.

Just my $0.02
