Same for my Grandfather.Dad was a WWII Navy vet and one of the few I've met with no tattoos.

We'll have to wait and see. The fading and blurring is the result of the immune system attacking foreign matter in the body.It seems the newer tattoos does professionally don't fade or turn into blurs like the old ones did.
