What new guns are on your menu for 2025?

Help Support Ruger Forum:

I did a quick look and there are some $25 rebates on the G2C. I have 3 of the predecessor PT111 G2 Millenium and have had no trouble, but they havn't been shot extensively. Good enough for a truck/basement/computer gun, and to loan out.

$179? 😳 Yes, I'd buy one just because.
I thought the same about the Smith SD9VE I picked up several years ago for $249. I put a set of Wolff springs in it and it works just fine. It's currently my ONLY 9mm pistol, although I DO have a couple of Blackhawks in .357/9mm. That might change soon now that the RXM is out, I just need to research a compatible threaded barrel for an RXM.

I wasn't planning anything until I ran across a Ruger American Ranch in 7.62x39 on sale yesterday on Bass Pro's website; $100 off. With my military discount the total was $455.27! That's about $60 less than if I had ordered it from galleryofguns.com. It will make a nice companion to my Mini 30. They were in stock at my "local" store so I'll be heading that way in a bit.

Still on my wish list;
Birdshead Single Seven
.30 Carbine Blackhawk (I WAS going to make a lowball offer on a 1980 vintage BH at a show today …) 🤷🏻‍♂️
.327 Federal Henry
… yada yada yada

I wrapped up 2024 by buying 4 guns I always wanted and 1 I needed.

3 of the 4 were the most unpractical guns on my list. Which is why they were last on my list.

So I am done with buying guns. Just ammo for me.

Happy New Year!

I'd like to get my hands on a Kahr X9 just to see if it fit. Always liked there trigger for a carry gun but they are a little thin. X9 should fill the hand better.

I have a number of guns I would snatch up if presented themselves.

Either of the Ruger Rimfire Targets in .22WMR with the black laminate stock (they came in blue and stainless)
Ruger Precision in 300prc
A stainless blackhawk or vaquero in .357 so I can slap the altamount silver/black grips on it to match my Ruger/Marlin .357SBL
An AR-9 that takes Glock mags to pair with my 17

I will not be going as nuts as I did last year, or the year before.

I think I done 13 that's enough I can't find time to shoot them all 3 rifles 3 revolvers 7 hand guns just planning adding to the ammo stash I turn 70 in January

I'm looking for a Old Model Blackhawk, any caliber. I have a 45C/ACP but would like a shooter grade OM anything.
One of the new New Model flat top 41 Mags and a Single Seven 327.

Smith and Wesson Model 315. Smith has a tendency to build things before the market is ready for them and when they fail in the marketplace production is stopped and prices on existing models go through the roof.

Smith and Wesson bring back the 315 Night Guard.

More than any new gun, an early red eagle mag with short slot and polished top is priority on my list. Otherwise any clean early Standard, Mark I, 10/22 or 200 year guns is fair game,

Oh, and throw a NIB or "like new" .480 Alaskan in the mix as well.

Right now my budget is shot… but that has to change some day. There's not a whole lot I really "need"…aside from a 4 digit Single Six.😁 I'd also like to find a 4 5/8" barrel 3 screw non-prefix Single Six. Both of these will take a while to save up for.

However…I would like a .357 Lever carbine, maybe one of the new Marlins. Also a Henry Supreme lever 5.56. There's something that fascinates me about a lever gun that takes AR mags. I've got a ton of Lancer L5AWM's and PMags, and a buttload of ammo. Other than that, any 3 screw that's a good deal.

I've already got a couple grip frames coming from Ronnie Wells, so that should keep me busy for a while.

Pretty much sitting on a flat wallet these days. I can think of several I'd like to have, but none I can afford. 😥
Gosh, I have too many firearms. Looking back after so my many and much older, I would just carry a Snubby for EDC. I do like this Lipseys. 6 shot, low recoil.LIGHT weight. No damn magazines, easy carry ever dang day, so simple to use and any Snubby is the most fun gun to shoot than I have ever shot. Something just so honest about them.
And gosh how I love the LCR's.
