What Makes A single Six "Interesting"

Serial number makes a mid year 1954 gun.... My RENE stuff is on my desk at work but this one was even "interesting" to a rookie like me.... Flatgate, serial number, cap on the basepin catch screw, serrations on the front sight, and flat grooved ejector button were easy...

Pretty nice, Axe, but it's got the wrong trigger.

Here's a 80,000 s/n range "roundgate" and it uses the "early style" trigger that came on ALL the Flatgates and early Flattops.

Here's a "Ross Variation" Flattop .357 with it's "proper vintage" trigger.

I have an early parts kit with the correct trigger. Shoot me an e-mail if you don't scare one up in the meantime. I'm traveling back from Tulsa and should be back home Wednesday.

I've always like the feel of the Single Six.
It just feels "right" in my hand.
I never like the Blackhawk and other large frame models as they felt too large. I recently got to feel the 50th Anniversary model Blackhawk in 357mag and felt much better. I liked it enough to order one to pay with.
