Based on the front sight, I think that set is for a 1911, but a side view would be helpful. Way before Novak and Bomar sights came along, people used to install Micro Sights like this one on their 1911s. Southern California gunsmith Jim Hoag used to get them really nice and low on the slide.
My first thought was 1911 but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Looks like the sights that were on the 1911 (not an A1) that I got used back in 1958-59 that had been set up for target use.
