This has been my daily carry for 40+ years (probably more). Goes with me everywhere.

Btw, I broke the tip off the main blade many years ago that is why it's shaped the way it is.

Ruger LCPII with a laser (ArmaLaser TR12 not shown in the picture).
I'm curious to know how people with Concealed Carry Permits actually carry their guns:
[1] Carry ready to fire - with round in chamber, magazine in place, safety OFF - pistol ready to fire with the pull the trigger.
[2] Carry not ready to fire - with magazine in or out, safety ON, no bullet in chamber, etc. - multiple steps required before the pistol is ready to fire.
[3] Etc....

Right now it is a SIG229 with SIG red-dot, and a Benchmade 710 in D2. Usually its a Glock 9mm.

In response to the question above, in either case, if I go closer to town than the road I live on, I carry chambered. Neither of my carry pieces has a manual safety. With the SIG, I use the decocker to lower the hammer on a chambered round.

I used to worry about chambering a round over and over. I was concerned with set-back. Now I just top off the mag with an FMJ which feeds smoothly, and after chambering it a dozen times or so, switch it out for another FMJ round.

Everything below the FMJ is JHP.
