Use to carry S&w Performance Center Shield 45. Shoots like a 9mm due to the ported barrel & slide.

Rock Island Armory 1911 CS

This is my normal carry pistol. Nice size, handles and shoots well and fits nicely in my cross draw holster.

Kimber Polymer 1911

The Kimber holds 14 rounds. I normally carry this one during the winter months while wearing a jacket or if I feel like I need the extra rounds. This one is very accurate.

Trick question with a trick answer.

I answered Ruger. And not a semi-auto. The most recent handgun I've carried
chambered in .45 ACP, is a Sheriff's-length Birdshead New Vaquero.

If we were expected to answer relative to semi's, my answer might have been SR1911 CMD, and slightly earlier, I might have answered Kimber (CMD-size). They all work.

Old School...... fantastic and under-rated Star PD. Accurate ... reliable .... 24 oz... Had it finished in Nickle-Boron (NiB).

I'm in NJ, so until I actually get my carry permit I carry my Shield 45 around the house and property. Matter of fact, after seeing the restrictions in the latest bill that is destined to pass, looks like I'll just be carrying around the house and property if/when I get my permit.

Colt Combat Commander .45 ACP almost totally stock. Put a beavertail safety on the gun and polished the feed ramp. An 8 round Wilson magazine and two 10 round Wilson magazines for reloads, if needed.

Back up gun is an S&W M60.

I don't anymore but I did carry a Commander (38 Super) and an Officer's Model (enhanced) for a while.
