My "winter gun" is a Springfield Champion LW Commander that I've shaved a few ounces off of. Hogue aluminum mainspring housing, replaced the ambi safety with an Ed Brown Tactical unit, installed a Dlask Arms titanium/magnesium short trigger, and the stocks are Ahrends thin laminate. Not a ton of fun to shoot, but slim, light (33.6 ounces with nine 230 grain +Ps aboard), Cerakoted, and hard-hitting, so it's a great piece to carry.

I tailor what I carry to where I'm going.
Local - S&W 642 - 38+P
Big city - Glock 19 - 9mm
Ghetto - Glock 30 - 45acp
I do the same. It is all about the weather and what I am wearing.
Local, Home: Glock 42, S&W 649, Ruger LCPII (.22lr), North Amer. Arms .22mag
City : S&W Shield 9mm, DW 1911 9mm, Glock 19, CZ PCR compact 9mm
Ghetto: Avoid, no reason to go to one!

Kahr P45---Small, slim and lightweight---DAO---6+1---not a particularly fun gun to shoot (one of my shooting buddies referred to it as "Nasty") but it's not a plinking pistol anyway... I also have an HK 45C (DA/SA, 8+1) that I like quite a lot, but the Kahr is quite a bit smaller...
