What’s the stupidest thing you’ve done this week.

I'm hoping to get them done before the new year.
I'll admit to sending an estimated tax check to my state comptroller that I signed but forgot to write in the amount. A literal blank check to the government.
They graciously and promptly returned it. :D I wrote in the amount and did the same.

Sheesh, the list gets longer every week...

Hhmmm, let me think.

I didn't do my back exercises or get back to working out with weights. Or going on very long bike rides to keep my cardio up.

I've simply lost interest in my diet. Massive egg breakfasts, and lots of steak, pork, potatoes, ice cream...

I now eat whatever I want when I want.

My self-discipline has gone out the window, but I keep telling myself (this inactivity and stupid eating started 2 weeks ago) tomorrow will be the day I re-enter the world of being in shape and not eating high chol. groceries, but man, as I age, my interest in all that is waning.....which is stupid.

Christmas of 2016 I had the present of two heart stents. I did the rehab workouts thing but when they released me after a couple months of it, I haven't exercised since!
I guess that's dumb, huh?

I bought another pistol from a fellow member here......
If that's the worst thing you are in pretty good shape. I feel to be in good company buying a gun from a member here is also the stupidest thing I did last week.

I lacked empathy tonight. An attractive recently divorced friend told me that resuming dating wasn't going great since she's having trouble letting go. I said: "Yes, I am hard to forget." Completely sober I was also.

Since my property tax late penalty if paid on 1/1/18 is around $400 vs paying it a day earlier on 12/31/17, I inspect my check several times for any errors before sealing the envelope.

I bought 2' of 1" PVC pipe at Home Depot and some fittings to fix my sprinkler zone valve that blew apart and when I got home I remembered I have about 6' of it in the garage. I took it back because I had to go there again anyway because I didn't check my PVC cement. It was almost hard as a rock.

That's the law, any time you go to use PVC cement, it's hard as a rock. Always buy a new can and save yourself a trip.

It's also the law that any simple project requires, at minimum, four trips to Home Depot or Lowes to get "one more thing" you forgot or ran out of.....

We're in the process of selling a house. The inspection "punch-list" had a bunch of little items that I decided to fix myself. Bad move. After a couple of hours in the crawl space under the house, I decided I'm too old to be doing that type stuff. Or too out of shape, or....

A several days ago I was packing up the car for a trip. I was moving a large badge of luggage into the trunk so I hooked my key chain around one of my fingers so i could use both hands to carry it. Once I got it in the trunk I realized I needed both my hands to arrange the bag. So I got rid of that pesky key chain in my way.

Finally I was ready to go ahead of schedule. Great! let's go, now where are my keys?? I looked around to see if I dropped them outside then my eyes settled on the closed trunk and I remembered what I'd done. Luckily I had a spare in the house but it took me 15 minutes to find it. I was able to eventually open the trunk and be on my way.

Rolled into the garage on the Triumph, shut down the engine, put it in gear to keep it from rolling, and flicked down the kickstand. Said kickstand didn't make it quite all the way thru its arc, and so flicked itself back up again. I then proceeded to dismount, swinging my right leg over the bike. Hit the deck like a chromed avalanche. Fortunately the Triumph landed more or less on top of me and was undamaged.....

So all's well.

I've been doing the exact same here. Worst part is with my back as messed up as it is , I can't exercise to make up for it.

I spent an extended period outside yesterday and got mildly hypothermic. Took 2 hours inside and 3 bowls of hot soup to get back on track. The longer term aftermath seems to be a small patch on my little finger that looks a bit "freezer burned".
I spend a lot of time outside in the cold but yesterday was a little windy and I guess my core temp just sagged.

Not this week but a couple of weeks ago I got a cleaning jag and a piece of rag stuck in the barrel of a Hawken Muzzleloader. Took half a day to get it out. That was only part of the fiasco.
