Hey guys had a fruitful trip to one of the local haunts today and found an old model 7 1/2 45 with matching 45 cap cylinder. ACP cylinder probably hasn't been shot gun has very slight muzzle wear. Overall really nice no box or papers. I know they only made them for 3 years but how many and what configuration? Also are factory convertible guns harder to find? I can't believe how light and nimble it feels in the hand for being g a 7 1/2 gun really excited about it!

Also in the same shop he had two cylinders laying on the table both were old model Hamilton Bowen cylinders that I guess lost there gun one in 380 ACP and the other was 38 super needless to say they are mine now also

Yes I think convertibles are harder to find.

4 5/8 barrel seems least common.

Made fewer OM 45s than the elusive 44 flattops.

What they asking for it?

You should own it.

The OM .45 Blackhawks were only offered for approximately 3 years. There were (6) variations offered.
BKH-44 About 3280 made
BKH-45 About 9710 made
BKH-44X About 3680 made
BKH-45X About 5700 made
BKH-44B About 405 made
BKH-45B About 190 made

That totals about 22965 built.

I bought mine with the Brass Bisley conversion, (2006) back when you didn't really see OM Bisleys.
It had a Clement's Bisley Hammer/Trigger. It was good but recently changed it out to a RW Super Fat Smack Bisley Hammer and his Bisley Trigger. Really nice parts and I really like the Hammer.
It gets shot just about every range trip. A family favorite.

Nice OM .45 there G2. Who made the Bisley g/f?
Now you made me get one of my rarest Collectables 🙄,,, the original packaging from QPR inc. Milt & Karen Morrison. The story goes that there were an estimated 20 Brass Bisleys cast from the tree that John Linebaugh owned. I think JL had QPR do the casting trying to figure out how to adjust/ fix the problems that were encountered. I have seen several of the 20 and each and every one had situations. These were not easy fixes and took some extensive fitting to make them work. I come up with the "20" from conversations had with Karen. FWIW

Just curious . . . does RW match-machine a hammer/trigger pair for good trigger pull? :)
I have no idea of his process.
I would say that his parts while spendy, they are accurate, precise, and the absolute best parts I have ever seen.

Do one job using RW and No Regrets.
Clements made some nice stuff, and I have several, but RW is even better. Fit & Finish.

I kinda wondered if that g/f was a Qualite or not! Excellent!

And yes,, Ronnie's grip frames are of the best top quality you could ask for!
