"Wow, that is a LOT of work to do what he/they did. So, you think Ruger was correct on it being originally an adjustable sight gun ?"

One thing overlooked here on those particular guns. Those converted guns are originally Old Models,, (3-screws)! Ruger never offered a Vaquero style until well after the New Models came out. Custom was the only way to go if you wanted that style.

I went back today and took a chance and bought it. I wasn't sure how it would shoot. It shoots great, love it! I want to find out who did the work to it. The guy that had them on consignment is supposed to call me when he gets back in town.I want to find out more info on who did the work on it.

Does anybody know what kind of grips these would be, they are a little different shape than factory Ruger grips.

Ruger says this one came from the factory with 5.5" barrel and adjustable sights.
It now has a 3 1/8" barrel and a great trigger.

I have to ask because I don't see it anywhere - what distance was that group shot at? Ten feet? Fifty yards? Without telling the distance, a target doesn't mean much.

It was between 7-10 yards off hand

Well, I talked to the guy today that bought the the single sixes (22 AND 32 MAG) new and had the work done on them. He couldn't tell me much though, just that whoever did the custom work was somebody the had a ad in the back of a gun magazine years ago. 1996 was the born/ship date on my 22 SS, so I'm guessing about that time is when it was.He said it's been so many years that's all he could remember. He's gonna try to find some paperwork on it , but said don't hold my breath.
Can anyone remember anybody that would have run ads in back of a gun magazine in the 90's that would have done custom single action work?
