Anyone have a chart for number of empty casings per pound? I'm sorting through 20lb of mixed brass at the moment and would like to get a estimate of each when finished. All have spent primers though that can't make more than a couple of casings difference.

Thanks

Did the math for you.
45ACP= 78 per lb.
40S&W= 108 per lb.
9mm= 117 per lb.
38 Special= 108 per lb.
357 Mag= 91 per lb.

These are weights of some primed and unprimed cases but it's as close as you need.

Flash, thanks for the info. I don't have a reload scale but do have a scale that will read to 1/2 lb. ( with that scale I add small weights untill the display changes to a whole or 1/2 lb mark to know how close I am.)
