and another snowy Jan. day today, but all is well in Ruger land as one of our 'passed' customers family brought us Dads personal S&W 38 spcl Bodyguard ala 1960, but the goodie was this really nice "short" barreled old model RSS 4 X, later one made in 1966 ( serial 442,6xx) has the 'red' grip frame and the "Inc." in the barrel address, I see New model "short barrel " Single and super Single Sixes BUT not the old model 3 screws, in all these years of buy/sell.....only ever got a prefix model 3screw Super Single Six many years ago, but it turned out to be a 'cut down" to 4 5/8 inch and the front sight moved back, as it was shipped as a SC5.........bummer...but now worth the long wait.......;)

sad thing no box or manual, just the "new" yellow/black return box, original lockwork and the 'work order from early 1984..any leads on a proper box??? RSS5 or an SC-5 box with the white printed sticker label on the end.......let us know........

Yes, you would figure if ever there was a NEED to stamp a "D", this would be the case....
yes when you see the guns it is obvious as to the differences, wider rear sight in the later one and the "INC" in the rollmarking, like 10-12 years after they built the first one??;)
