Wash cases after tumbling?

I use ground walnut shells with jeweler's rouge (dry media) in a vibratory tumbler to clean my brass. I've noticed some tumbling media residue (a bit of rouge dust) in the cases after sifting. Never really thought much of it, and I've been loading for over 20 years.

Just seeking some opinions here: Should I wash the cases before reloading?

I use a little liquid case polish or some water or some Hoppes to keep the media just a little damp and that seems to keep the dust down. I wipe the residue out of the tumbler with a rag. :D

I never have 'washed' them, and I also tumble with the walnut shells. I do quick 'wipe' with a paper towel before re-sizing each case though.

I always put my cases in a old towel and shake them back and fourth for a minute to remove andy media stuck inside and to remove the dust. The towel rubs off the dust just fine and is a lot easier than wiping each case.
