Wanted-Ruger Collectors' Association, Ruger Collectors Journals from all years.
I'm looking for Ruger Collectors' Association Journals from all year groups to build out a library for research. Shipping and Fee's Paid.

I've have quite a few back early editions. Please explain what you would do with them. Library for research is really broad. Woould this be an online library open to all or?
Charlie

Hello Charlie,
Thank you for the reply and question. It would be wonderful if I could scan and file under the Ruger.forum, Board Index of (General Topics) subset (Education or Library). There are so many great pieces of Sturm Ruger, Co educational articles that have been researched and published. To post a collection of published items such as the Ruger Collectors' JournalorThe Ruger Owners and Collectors Digeston a forums such as ours would cause many issues because of the copyright or proprietary nature of the material. Its easy enough to quote an article, author or even the publication name when having a discussion on the forum and bantering back and forth in a post on say a "retooling method" or a former employee article on a how the "76 Liberty NR4" really came to be. Not only do you have the copyright concern of the organizations themselves but individual authors within the organization. Charlie, Ive had Remington shotguns and handguns my entire life (50). I'm a member of both the RCA and ROCS but I'm new to the higher level learning of Ruger education. I've spent (30) years in the military, I have four young adult children and three grandchildren and have recently retired. The library is for my family and I in our insatiable consumption on the history and memorabilia of Sturm Ruger, Co. I share my products with all by answering posts on questions and answers using material I have purchased or collected. I'm working with mentors from ROCS and RCA to begin writing my own articles for publications. I hope I've answered your question as well as any others on my intent. I assure all who are considering selling me their issues that they aren't being resold. They are a treasured resource that I'm seeking for a library of history.

Thank you for your Service Charlie, I see in your profile you served in VN as a SSGT, VN 68-69

Respectfully

Colonel, I'm still thinking about my collection as I know understand what you intend to do with them. They have been a great resource for me but as I age (73) they are something my children have no interest in.
I see you retired as a colonel but served in Nam as a Staff Sergeant. I too was a SSGT and served with the 173rd as a acting platoon leader/platoon sergeant with the 4th battalion in the central highlands.
As a shake 'n' bake NCO I graduated as an E-6 from NCOIC # 4.
Regards Dr Charlie

Hello Dr Charlie

I was thanking you for your service Thank you for your Service SSGT, VN 68-69
I was reading your bio and seen that you had served and wanted to say thank you. Thats a very quick achievement at a young age and to graduate so highly in your class Charlie, very quick education followed I'm sure. Id love to hear about it some time.

I was an enlisted Soldier and at E4 went to OCS, I served 30 years 1984-2015, toured Europe the States, MiddleEast, I spent my heavy war time in middle east Afghanistan, did a few tours and was hit by a mortar in a firefight. I was also in the highlands in the East along Pakistan in the Hindu Kush Mtns, heavy fighting area in the East. Its an area where the young Soldiers pick up CIB's and Bronze Stars in a hurry. I finished my carer there as a deployable Infantry Officer after my hit as a LTC. Finished my time 3 years in stateside as COL and retired medically.

Let me know if you decide to let some of your library go, I would like to take care of it.
