If you think vintage Rugers ( or others ) are insanely expensive …. Go hunting for vintage guitars.

I have found a birth year ( 1959 ) near mint with original hard case Fender Stratocaster in 3 tone sunburst.

Like me, this guitar is LEFTY so you'd think there's a pretty limited customer base. Well …. It's still $45,000.00. And from what I've seen the past year it will bring it.

I saw a 1970 Strat bring $14k …. Still big money to me
Yeah, and people laughed at me when I got my CBS strat. It's a POS, should have bought a "Pre-CBS" Such foolishness. I play mostly Gibson nowadays but they had their "Norlin years" and I have no problem with them either.

That KILLS me. About 30 years ago I sold a 1972 Strat and a 1971 Les Paul Custom. I also sold a Fender Blackface Deluxe reverb. I sure wish I had them now. I can't believe what that stuff from the early 70s is going for! The one I really regret selling is the Strat and the Deluxe Reverb. I think I paid $300 for the Strat, $300 for the Les Paul (at Gruhn Guitars in Nashville) and $150 for the Deluxe Reverb. lol

Good and old amps are expensive too.
I got lucky last year and found a Super Champ X2 in the $300 range. I know it's only 10 - 15 years old but is an excellent practice amp.

Shipping will kill you with the weight of that amp.
I'd seek out a local trusted music store …. See if they'll buy them or do a consignment.
Or call Norm's Rare Guitars in Tarzana for help.

Can anyone tell me what this Gibson Epiphone is worth. I purchased it in 1991. It is virtually unplayed.

The bad news on Epi is that unless it's really an unusual model like the Genesis or a model made Before Gibson got hold of them they don't have much collector interest.
