I do mean special, as in knock your eyes out fine firearms. I know some of y'all like to travel to far away places and see wonderful things. So if you're inclined, stop by and visit Steve Barnetts Fine Guns in West Point MS. By appointment only. They do take on-line orders and will ship.

Here's the website teaser. Take your time and look around.

Amazing place! West Point, MS is an awesome place! I was only there for a short time but had an absolute blast. Great people, great food and two great gun shops! Would love to get back there one day!

Here's the only pic I could find of the inside of the shop. Click to enlarge.

Steve used to be a regular seller at the Atlanta Trade Center gun shows years ago before he moved to Mississippi and always had fine firearms. Great to hear that he is still in the game.

Sorry to report it, but Steve passed away from cancer about 4 years ago. His son-in-law took over the business.

Just out of curiosity...
When you go to the grocery store, do you get to the checkout and ask what's your best price on this can of peas?
Do you call the electric company and ask them to give you their best rates?
Do you negotiate at the gas station or the local diner?
Then why does everybody feel the need to ask the local gun shop to give them a better deal?
He has bills to pay too.

For me personally, I only haggle on used guns.

When the shop buys used guns, they dicker on what they'll pay as the gun comes into their shop.

So… I figure that it's OK to haggle on what I'll pay as the gun leaves their shop.

Both the shop and I are looking for the best price possible. 👍

I have found the occasional used gun that is priced at what seems to me a fair price, or even a "bargain." I don't dicker on those guns.

If I don't like the price on a new gun, I simply look elsewhere. I don't believe that I've ever asked for a better price on a new firearm.
