Hey Y'all,

As the title says, looking for a good, well made vertical type rig for conceal carry when walking trails.

Prefer cordura/nylon for rain and moisture barrier specs but definitely consider leather as well.

Thanks in advance

Years ago I tried an Uncle Mike's nylon model for N frame Smiths. It worked, but it was bulky and caused damage to my shirt and was also "hot".

The only nylon holster I have left is an original, pre military acceptance UM 84. I did by all of the attachments so it will function and a shoulder holster. Not designed for concealment.

I have and use an Uncle Mike's for a Ruger Redhawk. It is just difficult to get on and off. It is comfortable. Also I had a "Chesty Puller" set up for a Super Blackhawk from Simply Rugged. Diamond has a nice set up too. Good luck.

For just 'walking around', I'd concur with the Uncle Mike's holster for a 4 5/8" Bhawk. By no means a quick draw but sturdy and secure. It will flop around unless somehow connected to your belt at the muzzle end.

This El Paso tanker holster fits snugly against the body and is comfortable to wear. Guess it wouldn't be considered concealed because of the front strap crossing your chest. But if you wore a jacket it might work.
