I recently inherited a ANIB 25 ACP Budischowsky pistol. This is an all stainless steel pistol made sometime in the 1970's. It appears never to have been fired and is complete with the original box and manual. I would consider selling this little pistol but have no idea of it's value. It's a very nice little pistol but it's the same size as my 380 LCP and is only a 25 ACP. Any help would be appreciated.

i am winging it here, 400 bucks? i heard it was a very well made little pistol, it was double action as well, most 25's back then were junk, not yours.

Budischowsky TP70s in .22 LR and .25 ACP were favorably covered in the grocery store gun magazines and Gun Digest when they came out in 1973. The combination of stainless steel and double action in a tiny pistol was new.

My 5 year old Blue Book of Gun Values prices your .25 in 100% condition at $330 and $275 in 98% condition. It cautions that the Budischowsky TP70 was taken over by Norton Arms in 1977 and cautions TP70s marketed through Norton Arms are worth 35% less. Budischowsky is one of those odd ball brands that the Blue Book doesn't get around to repricing very often but you could check the current edition any way.

Considering there are very few Budischowsky collectors and the flood of similar size pistols that fire larger cartridges has made them undesirable concealed carry pistols, I doubt you'll get more than the Blue Book Price.

Thank you for your reply. As I said I had inherited it so I have no cash tied up in it. I do remember when it did come out in the 1970's and did get good press. Mine's unfired NIB with manual. I like it since I'm a avid fan of the 1911 being. However as previously stated this pistol is the size of a small 380 and is only an impotent 25 ACP. I do like it because of it's uniqueness. :)

I have a Budischowsky TP-70 in .22 Long rifle caliber, made by Norton. I carried it a lot and shot it a lot.
I believe it was American Arms in Florida that was importing these guns.
About 1988,they issued a warning that the safety could malfuntion(break) and about 3 months later, the safety shaft on my gun broke.
I tried to return it for repair but they were out of business.
I'd still like to get it repaired but a new part would have to be machined ffrom scratch.

You may be lucky today. Ebay has an auction open for complete Norton 22LR slide. I believe it was 76.99 with free shipping. I found it by searching Norton TP-70. Good luck!

His picture is too dark to see much, but if you copy it off and lighten it - you can see that it doesn't include the safety.

Sorry about that. I didn't look closely at the picture and just assumed it was complete. Did you by chance check Gun Parts Inc. (Numrich Arms)? I bought a magazine from them for my 25 ACP and it appeared that they had some parts for the Budischowsky.

Check the following Gunbroker auctions. 360619748 and 360389619. The 1st one is for a safety only for a TP70, and the 2nd is a complete parts set again for a TP70. Neither auction states a caliber, but the parts may be interchangeable. We Ruger guys must stick together!
