This subject gets talked about from time to time and so I grabed a little Walnut (Darker) and Cherry (Lighter) 3/4" X 5" and Wala.
Dainish Oil finish.
Work perfect and I feel are the perfect lenght.

I have no need for prop sticks, either, since I don't display my guns.

For photo needs, I use a glob of modeling clay worked up behind the gun's cylinder to lift it up away from the background.

I'd like a chance at one. I sometimes use dowels to prop a gun up when in the safe. Either is fine but Red is cool.
