FFLs here in our rural area called fly-over country, they don't buy or sell on line.
They might get one request a YEAR to ship something to CA.

Therefore, they've never done any research on what it would take to make a CA transfer happen.

It's not that they're punishing CA residents it's just that they don't think of them at all. No financial incentive to do so.

I respectfully disagree.
MANY sellers specifically exclude Californians,in spite of financial incentives to do otherwise.
I can say from personal experience, and conversations with Californians, that prejudiced sellers miss out on increased sales prices on many items including guns.

I can't speak about "MANY sellers" you reference, only the 3 or 4 local FFL/gun store owners in my rural midwestern area.

Losing out on 1 or maybe 2 $30.00 gun transfers a year isn't going to keep them from bankruptcy or add to their profits.

No reason for CA or Californians to be on their radar. I'm sure if their market were different, they'd reach a different decision.
