I looked at one today. #824155. It's a 5 1/2 inch fixed sight with wood grips.

It's in pretty good shape, not much holster wear at all, no turn line. there is a little bit of surface rust on the cylinder but not too bad. A few dings in the grips. The only thing really wrong with it is most of the screws are buggered a bit.

I can get it for $240 + tax. No box or paperwork.

They had a new model convertable for almost the same price.

Opinions?? I resisted at the shop but am really thinking about calling them.

Well, at that price I'd have been in trouble. If it wasn't otherwise "beat" that's not a bad price. Screws can be replaced. Probably late '68 or early '69. Might even have been a convertible. A call to Ruger would find out.

And as far as I'm concerned, the new model was a good price but not the least bit interesting. It's just a gun. The adjustable sights could be of interest, depending on what you will really use the gun for.

JMHO of course.

That seems ok for that gun. I'm assuming XR3-RED Grip Frame and a Alum. Ejector Housing. I would plunk down the $240 Cash and ask for a out the door deal. For $240 it makes a nice shooter.

NM gun well it's a Ruger but missin the good o'l clicks of the old action.

A healthy amount of gun oil and a little 0000 steel wool will clean the rust up. go easy.

My not at all HUMBLE opinion. :D
