trimming cases

I bought two bank bags of empty cases and had a mix of 223, 40, 45 and even I think 15 454 casul cases. My qquestion is , could these 454s be trimmed to long colt lenght and be used in a long colt cylinder, succesfully?

The case wall might be a bit thick after you trim 0.10" off of them. Never tried it myself.

Kinda sounds like more trouble than it's worth to me. I'm pretty sure 454 Casul cases take "small rifle" primers, not "large pistol" primers like 45 Colt cases.

That's a lot of work for 15 cases. I'm sure someone else has a use for them. Why not trade?
