That Ithica Model 49 is basically a Martini with an exposed hammer. I haven't seen one anywhere near mint for years!

My very first gun was an Ithaca Supersingle lever-action .410 shotgun. Dad bought it for me when I was in the 3rd or 4th grade! Once we started rabbit hunting together, he liked it so much, I usually ended up carrying his Rem. 12 ga. autoloader. So much for it being a 'youth model'!

I saw my first ever Ithaca model 49 at Redding's Hardware in Gettyburg, Pa. yesterday. I forget the price on it but someone here is looking for one they have one in stock.
