Drug my Mark II 7mm RM out of the safe last fall, shot it a couple times to check the zero. Ugh, the trigger pull compared to other options I have was excessive to put it mildly.
I had a 'smith work on my tang safety red pad .270 10-12 years ago and it is pretty darn good.
So, I ordered a Timney replacement for my 7mm.
I finally found a "round to it" and installed the new trigger yesterday. First step was to watch a video on Youtube.
The only tricky part was grinding off the excess material the safety contacts, each trigger is grind to fit the safety in your gun.
Presto, change O, a nice crisp, 2 pound trigger.
The new trigger should get my 7mm more opportunities to harvest some venison later this year.
