I think one of the best was the Tim Conway dentist sketch on Carol Burnett...(of course there's a commercial first)...

Have any of you seen (and remember) that hilarious sketch when Tim describes what a "snork" is? I still roll on the floor when I see it, after so many years.
I think you are referring to the "Elephant Story" cited above.
I don't get the commercials. (or the videos, wants me to sign in before playing anything). But I always liked Tim Conway.
Tim Conway is a long time favorite of mine and yes, together they were dynamite. And Conway was a world class sportsman, for some odd reason he called himself Dorf!

Harvey Korman often struggled to maintain his composure during performances that featured Conway's comedic genius! 
The Dentist bit is one of the GOAT. Just ask Harvey.
As a california kid i often looked around, trying to find the cameramen who i knew for absolute solid fact had to be filming us 24/7, in order to catch my father doing the things i would see tim conway doing.
I wasent being paranoid about the cameras; i wanted they should pay us for the great stuff they were stealing!

And these skits were performed if front of a live audience. I would have loved to been in attendance!
Classic show, back when comedy made you laugh and not cringe...
I have watched it several times and it cracks me up every time.
If you're feeling down, PO'd or just grumpy, watch that Dentist skit. All better!

Utterly fantastic. The elephant is a classic also. The way he tells it is perfect with the pauses and cadence. He broke them all in that one.

I loved it when Tim was SO FUNNY that he could cause Harvey, Carol, AND Vicki to crack up in the skit and laugh uncontrollably. He was a riot. That was the good old days of television.
