Today, Sunday, July 10th, marked our church's fiftieth anniversary and Homecoming Day. Present was a little black girl from out of the past. Little as she is a midget, and now
studying law at a college in Georgia, near Savannah.

She remembered me, as she was a recipient of the Silver Eagle Award, from back in the year 2009, when she was then eight years old. She told me she still could recite the Books of the Bible, and still had her Silver Eagle.

As I recall she had a less than desirable home life at the time, but rose above all obstacles to come to our church at the time.

Just a heart warming experience to me.

Absolutely. What goes around, comes around. I'm sure she's not the only one you've positively influenced.

Often, in our lives,, we do not get to see the results of our positive influence upon others. Yet,, when we do,, it truly is a blessing.
You are blessed Bob.
Your work with the kids comes back occasionally. And it is a very good feeling when it does.
I've had a few things like that as well with spending 50 years in the BSA.
